About MOPH 531

The Department of Georgia was founded on the 22nd of June, 1985 by its first Department Commander John M. King. The First Chapters were 425 Augusta, 465 Atlanta and 492 Columbus. There were originally on 22 members, 425 (5), 465 (6), 492 (3) and 8 at large members.

Since our Installation we have grown to over 1000 members and have 8 active chapter 425 Augusta, 465 Atlanta, 492 Columbus, 525 Rome, 531 Athens, 576 Alpharetta, 596 Savannah and 1000 Fitzgerald. We have also added over 200 Ladies Auxiliary Members throughout 7 Units.

The Military Order of Purple Hearts of the United States of America granted Chapter 531 a charter on November 17, 1986.
